I have been using some rather lightweight corner clamps for quite a while to fabricate mostly picture frames. Over the last several years however, the “vise” type handles have become increasingly difficult to manipulate due to stiffness in my fingers and hands. Additionally, I was also looking to upgrade to a more substantial unit that would be well built and reasonably priced.

After looking over the choices at various tool outlets and purchasing a single unit that did not meet my expectations, I finally decided upon the Wolfcraft Right Angle Clamp. I ordered four of them and when they arrived, I put them to immediate use.

Happily, I found them to be quite functional and a pleasure to use. The molded handles were very easy to tighten and the jaws gripped the pieces of wooden frame securely with no marking of the material due to the smooth surfaced steel jaw pads; (which appear to be replaceable). The quick release option is a nice additional feature and I like the overall look and feeling of a clamp that is a quality tool in terms of both fabrication and finish. The only thing that I think would have improved this clamp would be a jaw opening that would have a wider capacity than two and one half inches.

Lastly, the Amazon price for this item; (at the time of this writing), is as much as ten dollars less than what it is selling for at some of the major tool outlets I visited. Taking all this into consideration, I think that this clamp is a super buy.

These clamps are perfect as that extra hand when you’re trying to glue pieces at right angles. I ordered two and am glad I did. Not only does it hold your workpiece at the correct height, it allows setting two joints at the same time.

The clamps are strong enough to hold heavy oak, but when done, the light weight aluminum makes them easy to store. The quick release works well, and the padded jaws prevent marks on your workpiece.

Overall a great value.

I am pretty satisfied with this clamp. I have two of them..One of the plastic pieces on the quick release button was broken off on one of the clamps when I received them but it still works well. I use them to build picture frames and I am very satisfied and would recommend this clamp.

Love these clamps as they come in handy for so many processes at our military woodshop. Sadly AFTER buying them, I found an almost EXACT copy of them at Harbor Freight for about HALF the price. The only difference is and I mean the ONLY difference was that the Harbor Freight version did not have the thin plastic pads at the clamp head. I easily placed a piece of pressboard held on with some hot glue.
